What Personal Data We Collect And Why We Collect It

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Media uploaded through our forms and Live chat are not publically accessible, however, they may be automatically stored on one or several of Nuwave’s Cloud-based storage providers.

Our contact forms and live chat features are securely encrypted.

If you choose to submit a form on our website, your information is stored on our servers, the server of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System provider, Project Management System provider, Automation Processor provider, Internal communications provider, Analytics provider, Email providers, and any service providers they might be dependant on as an integrated part of their system. Our integrated system (comprised of the systems listed above) are used to better serve our clients and potential customers by efficiently managing requests, monitoring website activities, and communication efforts.

If you choose to use our Live Chat feature. Our integrated system also includes our Live Chat provider and any service providers they might be dependant on as an integrated part of their system. Your chat is history is stored on our server and our Live Chat provider’s server as well as our CRM. Traces of this history may also be stored on our Automation Processor which would handle the syncing of these two systems.

When you begin to input information into an order form, your data is automatically stored on our integrated system and you are automatically added to a marketing list to re-engage you in completing your order.

When you submit a form or start a live chat and you provide an email address, you are automatically enrolled in our email and marketing list. Every marketing email we send has a simple unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, where you can remove yourself from the list

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

This website uses Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, HotJar, and CRM tracking scripts to collect and analyze user behavior, ad performance, and customer history.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not share your personal data with any third-party company outside of the Nuwave’s Integrated System without your express consent to do so.

The only instances where your information would be shared with your consent is if you have requested our help in finding a service provider for you.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How We Handle Data When Ordering Services Online

Non-Disclosure

We understand that many cases require access to sensitive business information such as sales, revenue figures, tactics, strategies, and intellectual property. Nuwave agrees to not disclose or publicly publish any of your sensitive business information without your express written consent.

Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information or sensitive data to any third party.

We may share your personal information with third-party processors that are necessary to manage your request or for Nuwave to market additional services and content to you.

Only under your express consent, will we share your personal information with our partners. For instance, if you are wanting us to refer you to another agency or business for services we do not provide.

Sensitive Information

For sensitive data such as account usernames, passwords, credit card information we want to provide transparency with how your information is handled.

When you provide us with a username and password for an account, your information is passed through an encrypted form and stored on our server and our password vault (1Password) until your case is completed. Only authorized Nuwave personnel are given access to the information and upon completion, your information will be removed from both servers within 30 days.

When you provide access to your account by setting us up as a user to one or several of your accounts, we limit access to just a few Nuwave personnel to the account. After your case is completed, you can remove us from your account.

For credit card information, your full credit card details are never stored on our servers. Instead, the data is encrypted and passed directly to our payment processor(s) to securely authorize and process the transaction. The name on card, card type, and the last four digits of the card number is stored on our servers so we can reference the card and transaction information.

Recordings

We record our responses and live meetings and then place the recordings on a third-party cloud storage server that allows us to share a link to the video and any large files with you. These videos are password protected.

For live meetings, we record these for quality assurance purposes and for sending the recording to you so you can reference it for later use, training, and quality assurance. However, you can opt-out of this during the beginning of the live meeting.

How we protect your data

Our site is secured through an SSL certificate. We also limit administrative access within our integrated system to only Nuwave personnel who has need of the information.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use retargeting for ads and our CRM takes note of purchases and pageview data to tag your behavior in specific buckets to sent more relevant marketing materials to you and to better inform our team to provide a better customer experience.
